Who we are
Convict Bricks: Preserving History, One Brick at a Time
Nestled in the serene town of Hartley Vale, just west of the Blue Mountains, Convict Bricks is dedicated to preserving and replicating the historical craftsmanship of convict-made bricks.
Our founder, Dennis Plink, brings over three decades of experience in restoration building. His extensive work with authentic convict bricks in heritage homes has ignited a passion for preserving this unique architectural element. Recognizing the growing scarcity of original convict bricks and the increasing demand for authentic alternatives, Convict Bricks was established.
We specialise in hand-crafted, sandstock bricks that closely resemble the original convict-made products. Each brick is reversible, featuring a plain side and one of seven traditional frog designs, including the broad arrow, club/clover, diamond, heart, rectangle, spade, and triangle. Our bricks are supplied in mixed pallets to offer versatility and allow for personalised design choices.
As a family-run business, we prioritise exceptional customer service and the provision of authentic restoration materials. We invite you to contact our team for further information or to discuss your specific project needs.
